I had a lovely periwinkle turquoise hand-painted textile that I wanted to do something with, but it was so lovely and interesting that I didn’t want to cover it up at all. Some time ago I had read about the ‘string theory’ in quantum theory and I wanted to try to capture the energy of the vibrations found in a particle. I understood that it was hard to get any kind of image or clear picture of what happens with the vibrating energy. So, the ribbons I used are different color and have to real shape at all, just a random motion to represent the vibrations. Some yellow specialty yarn adds more texture to the artwork.
